New HTL bio-oil research facility at Aalborg University

24.05.2013, News

Today is the inauguration of a new bio-oil research facility at Aalborg University. The facility will produce 2nd generation bio-oil from 15-20 kg biomass/h through hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL).

Both European Commissioner for Climate Action Connie Hedegaard and Minister of Climate Martin Lidegaard will attend when Professor Lasse Rosendahl from the Dept. of Energy Technology at Aalborg University will present the new research facility today.

The HTL technology can process a wide range of organic waste and residues, which makes it very flexible.
